Undergraduate Scholarships

The Finance Department offers a variety of scholarships to finance majors:

  • Brian Campbell Scholarship
  • Finance Advisory Board Endowed Scholarship
  • Crook Family Scholarship
  • John Lump Scholarship
  • James Borowitz Memorial Scholarship
  • Eric and Christine Larsen Scholarship

Applicants must have completed Fin 310 at the time of their application. Applicants must also enroll a minimum of twelve credit hours in each subsequent quarter.  Most of the scholarships are merit-based, requiring an overall GPA of 3.50. A few scholarships may also be awarded on the basis of financial need and the applicant’s potential for future performance. No minimum GPA is required for these need-based scholarships.  Applicants may be interviewed by Finance faculty.

Note: The scholarship is not a cash award. Instead, the entire scholarship amount will be credited to your student account and can only be used to offset tuition. 


Graduate Scholarships

The Department of Finance at DePaul University will award Graduate Finance students two finance scholarships:

An overall GPA of 3.50 is required for applicants. Please note that these scholarships are for Graduate Finance students only. Download the application form by clicking on the appropriate scholarship.

FIN 313 Undergraduate Investment Banking Course

FIN 313 Application

This course is designed to provide students with a broad overview of investment banking, the structure of the industry, and analytical tools commonly used in the profession. Students who successfully complete the course will develop the skills necessary for an entry-level analyst position with an investment bank.  Spreadsheet skills, valuation methods, company, deal and market analysis will be emphasized. The course will also foster the development of presentation and writing skills through group analysis and preparation of case studies.   PREREQUISITES: FIN 310 & DEPARTMENT CONSENT

Undergraduate Independent Study Application

The Undergraduate Independent Study course  for Finance (FIN 399) gives students an opportunity to pursue a course of study not commonly offered by the Department of Finance.  The student must work with a Finance faculty member and the Finance department to gain consent to be enrolled in a Finance Independent Study course.  Independent Study Application Forms should be finalized and in the Commerce Undergraduate Office before the add deadline for the respective term.

Students now declare majors online via campus connect.  You can find the declaration in Campus Connect under "For Students>Records&Registration>Change Major/Minor/College.
